Article Style Guide and Authors' Guide
The bi-monthly journal Al-Ma'arij Quranic Sciences and Interpretation welcomes articles that have been researched and written with a new perspective in the field of Quranic Sciences and Interpretation, with an approach to the views of Ayatollah Javadi Amoli (may Allah have mercy on him). The following structural principles and writing tips must be observed in submitted articles.
In submitted articles, it is essential to observe the following structural principles and writing tips:
1. Articles must not have been previously published or submitted for publication.
2. The length of the articles must be between 4,500 and 7,500 words.
3. It is essential to observe the principles of abstract writing as follows: 1. Problem: Accurately state the main topic and issue of the article 2. Objective: State the objectives of the research 3. Method: State the correct research method in an explanatory and brief manner, and not simply by referring to descriptive, analytical, etc. titles 4. Findings: Briefly state the findings and refer to the research results 5. Keywords: State the keywords in a detailed and searchable manner.
4. The referencing method will be in-text and in accordance with APA: (APA referencing method)
A. Reference to the book: (Author's last name, year of publication, volume/page) Example (Javadi Amoli, 2013, vol. 1/p. 222)
B. Reference to the article: (Author's last name, year of publication: page) Example (Javadi Amoli, 2013, 10)
C. Reference to the site: (Author's last name, year of publication) Example: (Javadi Amoli, 1392)
D. Reference to the footnote: In the text (Author's last name, year of publication, footnote/page) Example: (Molla Sadra, 1490, footnote/160)
5. Method and order of the characteristics of books and articles in the reference list:
A. Book: Last name, author's name (year of publication of the book). Book title. Translator and researcher in case of translation or research. Place of publication: Publisher's name.
B. Article: Last name, author's name (year of publication of the article or publication). Article title. Translator, name of the publication. Publication period, publication number, pages.
C. Site: Last name, name, name of personal site or website, [Access (this word must be mentioned) day month year (for example, 12 Mordad 1395 should be the same year of publication)]. URL> (left indent)
D. References (last name, first name, (year of publication), title of the work, name of the reference/translator and researcher in case of translation or research, name of the publisher, place of publication.
6. Explanatory footnotes and Latin equivalents of specific terms should be mentioned at the bottom of the page and with independent numbering.
7. In Persian articles, the original text must be completely Persian and no other languages should be used; therefore, verses of the Holy Quran and narrations should be translated into Persian whenever possible and, if necessary, their Arabic originals should be transferred to the footnotes; reliable software should be used to cite the text of verses and narrations.
8. The use of modern research and statistical tools, especially in related articles, as well as the use of tables and charts, will be considered a special advantage in the evaluation of the article.
9. Articles taken from theses must be accompanied by the name and approval of the supervisor.
10. The publication of articles is subject to compliance with the "Guidelines for the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Research". (Accuracy and compliance with paragraphs 5 and 6 This guideline is emphasized)
11. The journal is free to edit submitted articles.
12. The approximate time for reviewing and evaluating the article is expected to be three to eight weeks.
