Some critics of the Quran by Quran interpretation method consider this method as an innovation of the Sunnite. This doubt is focused on the interpretation method of the Shiite interpretation books like al-Mizan and Tasnim. In this paper, we will review and criticize this claim and prove that the spirit of this doubt is the very wrong assumption among the Akhbaris that only the Infallibles can interpret Quran. In doing so, we will also show that the Quran by Quran interpretation, at least in interpreting the allegorical verses by the precise verses, is the clear instruction of the Infallibles. On the other hand, there is a clear difference between ‘Quran- adequateness in religion’ which is reflected in the slogan ‘hasbuna kitab allah’ and ‘Quran- adequateness in interpretation,’ so that there is a clear difference between the ‘Quran by Quran interpretation method’ and the theory of ‘independence of Quran.’ We will also prove that the prophet is the one who established the Quran by Quran interpretation method and it was a part of Ahl Bait’s (peace be upon them) sires. They didn’t think of this method exclusively for themselves. Furthermore, there is no reason for exclusion, and there are many evidences that show its admissibility for others. Finally we will show that the application of this method doesn’t appertain to the Sunnite alone.
